D. L. Ashmee is the author of The Born in Blood Series. It's a compelling vampire thriller. Ashmee weaves together the stories of two families-the Corrs, and the Perkins. Kate Ashmee (occult consultant) has been hired to assist the Perkins in tracking down a group rapist vampires who have been murdering people around their home. Ashmee was hired for the family to investigate whether the vampires could be targeting them. He discovers his long-lost boy is one of these vampires. The problem comes when Miguel, Miguel's friend, disappears.

Ashmee makes good use of the modern adventure format. In this series, Ashmee combines real life situations with supernatural to create a fast-paced, exciting series. Ashmee has a unique ability to keep readers' attention throughout shifting plot points. He changes the perspective of characters frequently. This adds tension and excitement to the novel.



The Born in Blood Series differs from other vampire novels. Most authors provide only one perspective: that of the protagonist, or victim. Ashmee creates a complicated, realistic character with lots of complexities. For example, the Perkins are very traditional. They live in a small home with white picket walls. The perfect setup for happy family until someone close is killed.



The plot reveals that the killer is a member of The Pack, a vampire family. They are happy to torture people and enjoy their twisted form of justice. The story opens at the family compound. The daughter, who is searching for her friend, engages in a fierce battle with the vampires. One vampire is hurt, but the shotgun blast can drive away the rest of the group. Another member of the group is soon seriously injured by a knife and is transported to the local hospital.



As the series progresses, we learn more details about each character as well as the reasons that authorities are failing to put an end to the madness. The series also features a new protagonist whose story is now the center of attention. Mattias Corso, his name is.  here’s a great place to get started  is a 31-year-old ex-convict. He was once owned the Pack, but is now free to do his own thing. This novel gives readers insight into how these characters think, deal with other people, and live their lives.



The Born in Blood series reviews continue with the series' conclusion. Ashmee is a beacon of hope for anyone who has been bitten by the vampires. The Born in Blood Series has a solid and realistic vampire novel that I recommend to everyone.
